The Dutch publisher Junior Press published translations of (mainly American) Marvel comic stories. On the inside front cover of issue number 16, Optimus Prime swore that the Mechabots would fight for good. However, that page shows Autobots fighting Decepticons. The person responsible for the text of that page clearly believed that the toyline was called Mechabots instead of Autobots. (The Mechabots were not featured in this issue: this issue featured the story of the building of Optimus Prime's Powermaster bodies.) The inside front cover even had its own copyright notice, showing that the regular editing and translating staff of the comic were not responsible for that page.

Fiction

Marvel Comics continuity

Ethan Zachary created the world of Hyper-Fax, Mechabots, and Bombasticons for his digital copy of Optimus Prime's mind, intending to teach Prime of his previous life as commander of the Autobots and as an autonomous living being. Though Prime led the Mechabots to victory, he still believed he was nothing more than a video game character. Pretender to the Throne!

Misinterpretation in Junior Press
