In the real world, the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is situated on the outskirts of the now abandoned city of Pripyat. In Dark of the Moon, the power plant is located inside of the city limits... and to make matters even more bizarre, Alexi Voskhod explicitly says that the entrance leads through a school. Who builds a school right next to a nuclear power plant?

-Optimus Prime and NEST were lead to there, were they were attacked by Shockwave and is pet [[Driller]]. They took the Ark engine that the Soviet's were experimanetin on (which was the cause of the disaster) however Optimus got the engine back.
