- Gilmer is a Decepticon Pretender in the Masterforce portion of thr Generation 1 continuity family.
Gilmer seems a bit like the sullen older businessman in the office, outstripped by the younger hotshots, and kinda aware of it. That's something of an archetype in anime. His embarassed reaction to Dauros's occaional moments of adulation is hilarious.
