- Furmanite is a substance from the Beast Wars portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Furmanite, or anti-energon, is a substance that repels energon at low doses. In higher quanities, it can cause planet-shattering explosions. Furmanite can be infused into a Transformer's infrastructure to create energon armor.

Seeking to discover a way to safeguard against energon overload while in robot mode, Fractyl developed a substance he called furmanite on prehistoric Earth. After Fractyl successfully tested its energon-shielding properties, Packrat stole the furmanite; in the chaos, it was discovered to be anti-energon when shards of furmanite explosively reacted with pure energon.
