Brawn, after being affected by a short circuit, became paranoid and escaped the Ark to St. Petersburg. Believing that automobiles were mechanical lifeforms like him and that humans were enslaving them, Brawn leapt into action in the streets of St. Petersburg, attacking and frightening away humans. When the cars did not enjoy their new "freedom", Brawn turned on the ungrateful machines as well. His rampage was finally stopped by the other Autobots with a trap set by Red Alert and Ratchet's application of a neuro-tranquillizer to the mad robot. The Enemy Within!

At Christmas Eve, 1985, Circuit Breaker read the Portland Chronicle and ranted about how all robots deserved death. A while after this, she saved a girl from drowning in a frozen pond, but was chased away by a fearful mob.

Later, Buster Witwicky had Jazz drive him to St. Petersburg to deliver his father's presents. There, Jazz was attacked by Circuit Breaker, but the spirit of Christmas forced her to grant the robot a reprieve. Christmas Breaker!
