Trapped on the roof of the burning station, the Burnses struggled to activate the [[Prime Signal]] to call for help, until ultimately Cody was able to activate it manually. Heatwave quickly returned, and Chief Charlie's son was surprised to learn that their fire truck was actually a fire-fighting sentient robot! - Charlie Burns is a human from the Rescue Bots continuity.
Along with his partner Optimus Prime, Chief Charlie Burns leads the Rescue Bots, a secret team of Autobots and humans that protect Earth from fires, floods, and crime. His tool of choice is the Rescue Cutter, which can tear down barriers between heroes and the danger they must extinguish. Little does his son Cody Burns know that Chief Charlie is hanging out with robots in disguise!
