- Shock is an Autobot Duobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Once upon a time, it was hard to tell Shock apart from his fellow Duobot, Ore. The big hole in his sparkless chest will probably help some, now.

Shock was present aboard the Lost Light when it left Cybertron. When it landed on a planet after its catastrophic launch, Shock was sent with Red Alert to investigate strange noises in the lower levels of the ship. His body was found sans spark by Red Alert, who believed a Sparkeater was responsible. Hangers On
