Doubledealer is an Autobot and a Decepticon in Generation One continuity.

Doubledealer is unique among Transformers as he holds a place in both the Autobot and Decepticon armies. The truth, however, is that this ruthless mechanoid is loyal only to whoever is paying him, and then only if no better offer catches his eye. His skills and power make him a valuable asset to both sides, but neither really trust him as far as they could throw a Guardian Robot. Doubledealer is also unique among Powermasters in possessing two binary bonded powermaster partners: Knock unlocks his humanoid Autobot mode, while the bat-creature Skar unlocks his transformation into a Decepticon falcon. His default alternate mode is a futuristic missle truck armed with an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Fiction

Marvel Comics

Doubledealer appears in one black and white UK back-up story, where he cons both Autobots and Decepticons into situations that allow him to make a good profit.

Dreamwave Comics

He does not appear in any actual DW stories, but in their "More Than Meets The Eye" profile book it is revealed that he carefully chose his partners to best represent him to each faction. Neither Knock or Skar knows of the other's existance, nor of their master's double life (something that seems to conflict with the Marvel UK story). Also, his two partners are described as being a loyal Autobot and Decepticon respectively and are drawn to appear totally robotic. The profile seems to suggest that they are Cybertronians themselves, and not organic beings as all other Powermaster partners have been portrayed. How exactly the powermaster process would opperate between mechanoids is unknown.

Notes

Though his toy bio and all other material describe his Decepticon bird mode as a "falcon" the head of the toy actually looks like a vulture, which would seem more fitting given his mercenary nature.

His partner Skar is the only non-humanoid powermaster partner in US canon. However, several other animal-like Headmaster partners were sold in Japan and are considered rarities.
