The infamous Hasbro solicitation/stock photo of Universe Deluxe Class Cyclonus test shot with the wrong plastic colours in some areas, such as his nose cone, Nightstick and his yellow gray-looking parts.

This photo caused a huge uproar in the Transformers fandom before it was revealed that the final retail toy would not actually have these colours.

Stock PhotoThis is a stock or promotional photograph of a Transformers: Universe (2008) toy, © Hasbro, TakaraTomy, or both unless otherwise noted.

Because such photos are created specifically to promote toys, products or events, TFWiki.net asserts that an implicit public license exists for them. TFWiki.net further asserts that because such photos can be reasonably assumed to represent that product in the best possible light, TFWiki.net's general preference for using such images to illustrate those products constitutes an act of good faith.

Regardless the above, TFWiki.net's use of promotional images to document and illustrate a product or character on TFWiki.net would always fall under the fair use provision of United States copyright law. See Copyrights.
