Frenzy is one of Soundwave's loyal minions. Though aggressive, Frenzy has a bit of a Napoleon complex and really hates being reminded of his size.

Soundwave sent Frenzy and Rumble to search for the Matrix of Leadership in Crystal City. Afterwards they attended Megatron and Orion Pax's hearing with the High Council. Exodus

When Optimus, Bumblebee, and Sideswipe came to rescue Zeta Prime from imprisonment in Kaon, they ran into Soundwave, who released Frenzy in defense. Frenzy put up a fight and didn't take the Autobots kindly about his size. Despite this, the Autobots managed to defeat Frenzy, and Soundwave recalled him. Although Soundwave was defeated, he and his minions were able to escape after attacking Zeta Prime. Transformers: War for Cybertron

While Soundwave secretly rebuilt Megatron in his workshop with the help of Laserbeak and Rumble, Frenzy somehow found himself running for his life against a conveyor belt to a smelting pool. He later accompanied Soundwave and the rest of the Decepticons in the assault on the facility created to house the body of the defeated Trypticon, taking time out to torture fallen Autobots and amuse the troops.
