Pova is a planet located in the Redan Sector somewhere in the galaxy, whose inhabitants have had dealings with the Cybertronians during their civil war. At some time in the past, a non-interference pact was signed between the Povians and both Transformer factions, ensuring that the Autobots and Decepticons would keep their war off Pova.
Twenty years ago, however, Impactor and the Wreckers violated that agreement when they pursued the malicious Squadron X to Pova. After a brutal battle, Squadron X was captured and immobilized by the Wreckers. When Impactor called for a pick-up, though, Prowl instructed him to turn the Decepticons loose rather than risk the political fallout with the Povians.
