Red Hot is an Autobot Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Always look on the bright side of life. *whistles*

Red Hot is in it for the thrills. A confirmed action junkie, he's happiest where the action is hottest, be it fighting a towering inferno or mixing it up with Decepticons. Thankfully, he's not so far gone into thrillseeking that he'll neglect his duty as part of the Rescue Patrol. As soon as lives are in danger, Red Hot's first and only priority is to roll out and save the day. This drive does have its disadvantages though, since he's prone to exhausting his fuel supply and pushing his frame harder than it can take.<ref>More Than Meets The Eye #5</ref>

Guess who's super-huge for no reason?

After a successful raid on a Decepticon fuel depot on Cybertron, Red Hot and the Rescue Patrol attempted to journey to Earth with Bumblebee, Jazz, and Grimlock, but the intervention of the Mayhem Attack Squad resulted in the trans-time dimensional portal malfunctioning. The Autobots were flung into the depths of Cybertron, where they found the resting place of their god, Primus! Yesterday's Heroes! Red Hot and the others listened to the Keeper's tale of Primus and Unicron, and the origins of the Transformer race—until the Keeper was slain by the Decepticons, who had also been transported there by the malfunctioning portal. Red Hot and Stakeout assisted Grimlock in taking down Octopunch, but were unable to prevent him from accidentally shooting Primus in the face. As the awakened Primus let loose with a Unicron-summoning "primal scream", the Autobase staff completed repairs on the dimensional portal, sending the Autobots to Earth. Primal Scream

On Earth Red Hot and the rest of the Rescue Patrol were assigned to capture Decepticon assassin Whisper, and on Christmas Day 1989, they cornered him. Their battle against the Air Strike Patrol was called off by Optimus Prime to prevent damage to the environment. The Greatest Gift of All!

Toys

Generation 1

Wanna bet he's keen on Hot House's position?
  • Rescue Patrol (Micromaster Patrol, 1989)
Red Hot transforms into a red fire engine of undetermined model. He was only available in a four-pack with his teammates Fixit, Seawatch and Stakeout.
This toy was sold in Japan without changes as Fire.

Notes

  • Red Hot is gang molded with his teammate Fixit, sharing plastic colors.
  • Interestingly, his head strongly resembles that of fellow fire truck-bot, Inferno.

Foreign names

  • French: Rougeaud (Canada)
  • Italian: Gamma
