A Urtuskian freighter found itself stranded on a remote planetoid, and over a number of generations constructed a primitive settlement directly on top of a pseudo-energon reservoir.

Eventually, this settlement was found by a party of Decepticons hunting for [[Metroplex (G1)|Metroplex]].  Suspecting the lost [[Metrotitan (body-type)|Titan]] was underneath the settlement, the Decepticons took great satisfaction in destroying it.  When the Autobots subsequently arrived, a Urtuskian father noted that this second group was friendly and followed [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] below ground to assist him.  Despite throwing himself at [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]] and getting tossed aside, the Urtuskian survived and was reunited with his children once the Decepticons has departed.  {{storylink|The Hunting Party (IDW)|The Hunting Party}}

Urtuskians are a race of tusked creatures from the planet Urtusk who resemble anthropomorphic warthogs.

When a robot tried to order a drink at the very anti-robot Black Hole Bar and Grill, a human named Landmine came to his defense. Labelling Landmine a "rust-suckin' robot lover," a lone Urtuskian got into a barroom brawl with him. Landmine clobbered the Urtuskian in the package, leaving him clutching his groin in pain. However the Pretender had to back down when he saw he was surrounded and outnumbered by the rest of the bar patrons, and his friend Cloudburst smoothed things over between them. Guess Who the Mecannibals Are Having for Dinner?
