The Robo-Smasher was a machine built by Megatron which had the ability to permanently reprogram a Transformer as a Decepticon. Optimus claims that a number of Cybertronions were lost because of it.
The Robo-Smasher was shown to have captured and converted the Constructicons and nearly changed Omega Supreme before it was destroyed.
Ironically, it was never shown to smash anything.
