Mood Whiplash is a Transformer-suitable beverage composed of carbonated engex with a dash of petrol.

While in a bar on Hedonia, Whirl passed Ultra Magnus what he claimed was a Mood Whiplash. After Magnus took a sip and noted it was "very pleasant", Swerve realized that Magnus hadn't deactivated his fuel intake moderation chip and therefore wasn't feeling the associated effects of the drink. Some urging from Swerve ensued until Ultra Magnus disengaged said chip and promptly passed out. Skids checked the drink and discovered that it wasn't carbonated engex but weapons-grade nucleon. Gee, how did that happen?
Ultra Magnus spent most of the night unconscious and later had to have his fuel tanks reconstructed. Cybertronian Homesick Blues
Notes
- Mood Whiplash is named for a TV Tropes page, much like Nightmare Fuel which was introduced a few issues earlier. As with the previous instance, the issue it appears in contains several examples of the trope in question.
