This article is about a character or concept which lacks any official name or designation. |
- "Internuncios" are Transformers from the Generation 1 continuity family.

"Internuncios" are one of the oldest of Transformer body-types, predating the art of Transformation, yet Transformers of this venerable model are still in service today.
They seem are especially suited to communications support roles and are frequently seen working as couriers, switchboard operators, intelligence officers and... um... matrix bearers.

While exploring sub-surface Cybertron Carly, Spike and the Dinobot Swoop came upon a room full of deactivated robots, including one of the "internuncio" body-type. Carly remarked how primitive they are compared to the Autobots of today. That racist! Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 2

Some months later while... exploring sub-surface Cybertron (is there an echo in here?) an Autobot party led by Alpha Trion came upon a disused storage hangar housing ancient courier ships from Cybertron's early days. A dead "internuncio" type Autobot lay to one side of the hanger. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1

Many years later when Galvatron attempted to use the Matrix of Leadership to power his electron cannon,[2] the spirits of past ancient Autobot leaders appeared to demand he return the Matrix, including one of the "internuncio" type. Galvatron relented in the face of their spooky moaning. The Burden Hardest to Bear
The Headmasters cartoon

A micromaster internuncio manning the communications chair normally occupied by Spike informed Ultra Magnus of a prolonged siege on an Autobot energy-production facility in Miami, Florida. Ultra Magnus decisively ordered him to summon the Technobots, which he did in a gung-ho manner. Ultra Magnus then went charging off to his death. Ultra Magnus Dies!!

Months after that sad event an intelligence officer of the "internuncio" type in Autobot City rushed to inform Carly and Spike of a Decepticon attack on the Queen World ocean liner. Spike postulated that the Decepticon base must have been somewhere along the line of the most recent attacks and the officer agreed, promising to monitor the enemy's movements. The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 1)
IDW Generation 1 continuity

Galvatron toured the abandoned battlefields of the Autobot/Decepticon war and used the Heart of Darkness to resurrect the dead for his army. Among these resurrectees was an internuncio-type who served on the bridge of his ship.
Footnotes
- ↑ The green Autobot appeared in historical documentation of the earliest days of the Autobot/Decepticon war and the development of Transformation in "Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 2".
- ↑ Seriously Galvatron? Seriously? It takes a special kind of idiot to see a mystic artifact of unfathomable power and say "I think I'll plug it into my gun!"
