The Primal Vanguard is a Transformer organization concerned with off-Cybertron peacekeeping. The races it peacekept tended to be organics, who tended to get squished (literally) very soon into a fight.
It dates back to Nova Prime's day and its members have built-in weapons as part of their anatomy.

The organisation was mired in the "Phobos Controversy" and at one point an ex-Vanguard member was responsible for a shooting in Apophenia.
