The Star pirates were a band of pirates in the Generation 1 continuity family.

The dread Star pirates of the Blot Nebula were encountered and defeated by Jetfire millions of years ago.[1] Their defeat enshrined Jetfire as a hero on Cybertron. It is unknown whether the Star pirates were mechanical or organic in nature.
