| So congratulations, you have become a fan of the greatest science fiction and [[To sell toys|toy]] franchise known to man. First, you need to know that learning the lore is a very complicated process and takes ''years''. Even I, who have spent half a decade loving the ''Transformers'' franchise, probably only know about 20-30 percent of the lore, and of that, I probably only know 5% of that well. Alright, so it's a lot more than that, but don't forget, I've been a fan for five whole years.

| ''Transformers'' lore is essentially one giant clusterfuck of irreconcilable stories. Read that sentence again. Remember it when you're about to shoot somebody because you've become so irritated by continuity errors (Which you'll get used to eventually, anyway). There are many, many continuities to deal with. Hint: Pick one to concentrate on. And don't mess with the Japanese ones until you're ready.

| Don't bash continuities you don't like ([[Kiss Players (franchise)|Unless they deserve it, of course]]). And don't put down every continuity except G1, because most people will hate you.

| Once you find a continuity you like, concentrate on learning it well. If it is a current one, keep up with it. I strongly reccommend the [[aligned continuity family]], especially the ''[[Transformers: Prime (cartoon)|Prime]]'' cartoon.
