After his first adventure as the head of Fortress Maximus, Spike Witwicky wished to distance himself from the Transformer conflict. As such, he tossed his Headmaster helmet in a pile of junk at DH Junk Boutique. Two hobos, Albie and Fred, were later digging through the scrapheap to find things to sell when they came across the Headmaster helmet. The two were soon scared away by Carnivac and Snarler, who detected the helmet's odor. The Man in the Machine!
