Fiction

Kiss Players

Ringo was a member of Shaoshao Li's Kiss Player squad, and may have developed a crush on the skilled fighter. When Atari Hitotonari was recruited by the EDC, Ringo entered the naked and sleeping girl's room through the window (with the aid of her Autorooper) and introduced herself, telling Atari to call her "Princess Ringo".

An apple a day keeps the doctor running for their dear life.

To the surprised girl's discomfort, Ringo told her that she had heard Atari was an even more powerful Kiss Player than Shao and wondered aloud what she tasted like. To satisfy her curiosity, she stuck her tongue in Atari's mouth and then bit her hard. Wiping the blood from her mouth, Ringo cheerfully welcomed the terrified Atari to the EDC. Kiss Players #1

Ringo played a key role in a trap laid for Marissa Faireborn's all-female resistance commando squad. When the commandos attacked the EDC caravan that was transporting Optimus Prime's dead body, Ringo's Autorooper suddenly burst from the fake Prime-corpse's torso and the fused Kiss Player gleefully mowed down the resistance team in a hail of automatic gunfire. After making Atari sick with her crazed driving, Kiss Players radio drama #30, Ringo soon returned to subjecting Atari to acts of bizarre, childish, whim-driven cruelty, forcing-feeding her flowers via kisses Kiss Players #3 and pouring honey over her. Atari attempted to do something about this by appealing to teammate Kayu Michikusa, but Kayu was unwilling (or unable) to interfere, Kiss Players radio drama #33 due to the fact, Atari later learned, that Ringo had also given Kayu the same torturous treatment in the past. When Atari attempted to make peace with Kayu, she discovered that the girl had apparently been transferred to a different unit. Kiss Players radio drama #33 Soon after, however, Kayu's Autorooper went wild in EDC headquarters, the fused Ringo ruthlessly shot it down over Atari's protests. Atari's mind went blank, and when she regained her senses, her Autorooper's hands were stained with blood. It is presumed that she killed Ringo, or at least seriously injured her. Notes

  • In Japanese, Ringo's name means "Apple". So no, she is not named after the drummer for the Beatles. Whether she has blisters on her fingers remains to be established.
  • According to colored artwork on Yuki Ohshima's website, Ringo's hair is pink.
