The Transformers cartoon
After having confiscated Dread, its death crystals and the slaves from the Orbs, Galvatron ordered for the construction of a cannon with which he would destroy Cybertron and the Autobots once and for all. It was expected the Autobots would not find out about the plan until maybe a moment before their deaths, but Kup's knowledge about the death crystals got in the way. The veteran led a small team of Autobots to Dread at the time the cannon was finished but still needed to be loaded with enough death crystals to make a worthwhile impact. Through events, Kup succeeded in freeing the slaves and got their help in taking out the guards at the cannon. Because the cannon was ready to be fired by that time, rather than destroy it directly, Kup and two of the slaves turned it around to use it against the monstrosity Chaos, which was after them. However, the impact the cannon not only took out Chaos, but also caused the volcano at which base the cannon stood to erupt. Kup and the others abandoned the weapon to flee for their lives and it was presumably molten away by the stream of lava. Chaos
