A triple changer is a Transformer with three modes. Usually these include one robot mode and two alternate modes, but the term can be used more loosely. Energon Scorponok is a triple changer.
The Triple Changers proper are a sub-group of Generation 1 Transformers who have one robot mode and two alternate modes.
