Fiction
Ladybird Books continuity
The Decepticons constructed Xenon and its sister stations, Argon and Krypton, in Earth orbit without the Autobots spotting them, and used a refraction shield to render the three stations completely invisible. Unfortunately the Autobots detected the radio transmissions from Argon, and manufactured a fake signal from Soundwave, which they sent to all three stations. The space stations were moved by their respective crews to the coordinates given in the transmission and, as the refection shield meant they couldn't see each other, promptly collided and were destroyed.
