The Great Cataclysm was the result of a foreign Red star interfering with Cybertron's sun the effects of gravity conflict caused an asteroid belt to loose some of its meteors which crashed into Cybertron, also the heat from the second star created solar flares which in turn rained fire and radiation upon the planet which caused the Predacons to go insane and turn against each other. although Predaking tried to rally his subjects his efforts would be futile as the Predacons would be rendered extinct but the end of the Cataclysm. | |||

The Great Cataclysm was a catastrophic event in Cybertron's prehistory that abruptly ended the Rust Age. The disaster, of uncertain nature, wiped out the planet's dominant lifeforms at the time, the Predacons, leaving fossil artifacts as the only trace of their existence. Evolution
