"Vendetta! Vendetta!"

Some men learn from the past, and change their lives for the better. Harold Attinger is not one of them. In response to the devastation inflicted upon Chicago five years prior, Attinger founded "Cemetery Wind", a faction of the CIA which seeks to wipe out the Transformers to save mankind. Factions are irrelevant to him; they are all menaces to his country and planet. Attinger barely hides the ruthless, paranoid monster he really is under an icy, calm facade. Get in his way, and you'll find out just why he has the bite to back up his bark that the "age of the Transformers" has ended. He claims there are only two sides to pick: the Transformers or the humans. However, his greatest "asset" is an alien robot. Funny that.

Fiction

Age of Extinction film

Actor: Kelsey Grammer, Yutaka Nakano (Japanese dub), Pedro D'Aguillon Jr. (American Spanish dub)

Following the devastation in Chicago, humanity was distraught at the massive loss of life. Attinger, then a prolific member of the CIA, took advantage of NEST's dissolution to form a new Transformer-hunting taskforce codenamed "Cemetery Wind", employing long-time associate Savoy as his right-hand man and field leader. Although the US government believed that Cemetery Wind was working alongside Optimus Prime and the other Autobots, Attinger had, in reality, ordered his men to destroy both Autobots and Decepticons.

Attinger eventually came into contact with the non-aligned bounty hunter Lockdown, who had arrived on Earth at the behest of the mysterious Creators. Attinger agreed to a three-way deal between him and Joshua Joyce's Kinetic Solutions Incorporated. Lockdown would assist Attinger in hunting down the Transformers on Earth, whose remains would be given to Joyce to produce man-made Transformers. Lockdown's price was the safe apprehension of Optimus Prime, and in return for Prime, Lockdown would give Attinger the Seed. The Seed would be given to Joyce, who would give Attinger several million shares in the soon-to-be-thriving KSI. This complex deal would rid the world of Prime and the Transformers Attinger so despised, and provide the United States military with an army of man-made Transformers.

Prime had previously managed to elude Cemetery Wind in Mexico, but a anonymous tip revealed that Prime had surfaced once again, and was hiding at the Yeager farm in Texas. Gleeful at the chance to finally capture Prime, Attinger sent Lockdown and Savoy to Texas to apprehend him. However, Cade Yeager resisted, and thus Attinger ordered him and his daughter Tessa to be held at gunpoint so they could find Prime. Despite their honest confusion at Prime's whereabouts, Attinger ordered Savoy to execute Tessa. It was at that moment the Autobot leader made his presence known, and soon escaped with the Yeager family. Attinger's fury was only stoked further when Lockdown also failed to apprehend Prime.

To Attinger's pleasure, after an icy exchange with Joyce, Cade was caught infiltrating KSI headquarters during his own visit of the facilities. Attinger mocked Cade's desire to protect his family when he was concerned with that of the nation's. He only smiled when confronted with the fact he was prepared to kill an innocent girl, and questioned Cade on Prime's whereabouts. Once again, Attinger did not have to wait long, as the Autobots at that moment stormed the building to rescue Cade. Declaring the raid a terrorist attack worthy of a CIA op in retaliation, Attinger ordered Galvatron and Stinger sent to bring in Prime. Unexpectedly, Galvatron opened fire on civilians and caused massive property damage without KSI's orders, but Attinger dismissed the damage, claiming innocent lives were lost every day, even when Joyce moved to send paramedics to the injured. Before Galvatron could bring in Prime, Lockdown arrived and did the job himself. Attinger met with Lockdown in Chicago, though not before he had to assure the President that there was no need for alarm. Lockdown handed over the Seed, and callously bid farewell to his former human business partners.

Attinger delivered the Seed to Joyce in Hong Kong, but Joyce, having had a change of heart after learning of Galvatron's scheme to use the Seed to attack humanity (as well as being disillusioned with his partner for his callous indifference to civilian casualties when Galvatron was unleashed), tried to decline his reward. Attinger scathingly told Joyce his childhood dream was to make the world a better place, and that Joyce could not back out now. Joyce attempted to blackmail Attinger with all the blood on his hands, but Attinger declared he'd bring down Joyce with him. At that moment, Galvatron and KSI's drones rebelled, and Attinger was shepherded to safety by Savoy.

No tears were shed that day

The following day, Attinger helped Savoy search for the Seed, which was in Joyce's possession, though with his defection to the Autobots, Attinger was prepared to kill him. After surviving the battle in Hong Kong and losing Savoy, Attinger confronted Cade at the same time Lockdown fought Prime. Attinger berated Cade at gunpoint, proudly justifying his actions for the good of his country and snarling at Cade for choosing the Transformers over humanity. Before he could shoot Cade, however, Attinger was blasted in the chest by Optimus Prime, killing him and fulfilling Prime's oath to kill the person responsible for the deaths of the Autobots.
