Marvel Comics continuity

Kup's ship appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.

Kup was living out his retirement when he chanced across a small ship being pursued by two larger craft. Although he protested that he no longer had any part in the fight, Kup's old nature soon returned and he shot down the attacking ships only to be hailed by the one he had just rescued, which was breaking up. On board was the young Autobot Hot Rod who was fleeing from the Tyroxians and he tried to persuade Kup to go back to Tyroxia to rescue his comrade Blurr but the old timer refused, saying he would take Hot Rod back to Cybertron but no more.

Some time later, Kup was alerted by the ship's proximity alarm that it was now in orbit around Tyroxia — Hot Rod had tampered with the computer and taken a landing pod to rescue Blurr himself. Inevitably, Kup again gave in to his heroic nature and rescued them both, then set his ship on course for Cybertron. Kup's Story!
