We're totally waving at you!
We're totally waving at you!
Hi, Pat! Welcome aboard!

Welcome to TFWiki.net, one of the foremost resources on all things Transformers! If you're new, we recommend you read through our help documentation before you start editing. Here's some links to specific areas of interest:

This will help you understand how TFWiki.net works, and help ease you into our odd little place. Once you feel you're accustomed, feel free to remove this message!

But...

"No doubt our wit is too slyly subtle for them to appreciate."
"No doubt our wit is too slyly subtle for them to appreciate."
"Apparently, some of your kind saw fit to decorate me while I was waiting."

If you haven't yet contributed anything, we'd really rather you didn't simply change jokes or add new ones without adding actual content. This also holds true for removing captions whole-hog or replacing them with "information" that really isn't.
Remember, we're meant to be informative first, funny second. Write an episode summary, check out the Most Wanted Pages list or the Stubs list.
For further information, see: Project:Captions

Also, stop adding redundant snark to articles that already made their point, like on Payload and Lockdown. --Inkblot (talk) 07:58, 7 January 2015 (EST)

Seriously...

...time out. Please stop adding unnecessary fluff and replacing captions. Your contributions to this wiki just haven't been up to standards, so DO read the articles in that welcome template above to get an idea of how we do things around here. Thank you. --Inkblot (talk) 09:14, 8 January 2015 (EST)

Dear Inkblot

[edit]

Alright, so does that mean i can't do anything anymore?

Wait three days, and PLEASE follow our guidelines. --Inkblot (talk) 09:15, 8 January 2015 (EST)
Alright, i wouldn't edit anything useless anymore
Well, I at least hope you go and read those welcome articles while your three-day time-out passes. In addition, try reading our articles to get a good idea on what is acceptable. Thank you. --Inkblot (talk) 09:19, 8 January 2015 (EST)

Thanks

Captions

[edit]

You're overdoing them. Fairly minor edits do not equal multiple captions. Additionally, to quote the Project: Captions page:

"Having no caption is better than having an outright dumb, inane, pointless, badly-written or unfunny one."

...And "hurr durr i r sukky playskul toy" is... neither particularly clever nor funny. --Inkblot (talk) 08:41, 17 January 2015 (EST)

About captions

[edit]

Do i need your permission for adding captions?

We have posted the answer to your question three times on this page. It's even highlighted in a blue box with a little picture. --ItsWalky (talk) 13:16, 17 January 2015 (EST)

Creating articles

[edit]

Please read our New Pages help article. We'd rather have no article than a some brief sentences and a stub template. At the very least, a new article should also have a continuity identifier and a (potentially stubbed) fiction section, and be properly categorized. Thank you. Jalaguy (talk) 07:51, 13 February 2015 (EST)

Alright.

Excessive snark and review-style writing

[edit]

Stop adding review-like notes and opinions to the toy articles ("however his double colour tone makes him somewhat weird and odd"), and you really need to cut down on the snark. Additionally...

You and Megatron have one thing in common.

Please proofread your contributions more thoroughly. By default, we require correct English in our articles, including correct spelling, punctuation, and use of capital letters. If your edits don't follow these rules, other editors may choose to revert them rather than spend their time cleaning up your mistakes.

Please. --Inkblot (talk) 03:36, 21 February 2015 (EST)

Alright, but i thought i wrote that some time ago and no one changed it yet.

Need help

[edit]

I want to write something on my page and I want to post some of my image of transformers. I need help, may I post some personal photos on my page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pat (talkcontribs).

Per TFWiki rules, you can upload one picture to use on your user page. When uploading it, copy paste {{userpic|user=Pat}} into the 'Summary' field to mark it as your user page image. Jalaguy (talk) 06:12, 21 February 2015 (EST)
Thanks. But is it ok to change it occasionally?
Yes, that's fine. Simply upload the new picture as a new version of the existing one. Jalaguy (talk) 06:32, 21 February 2015 (EST)
