Dorie Dutton and her crew were covering the International Scientific Symposium in New York when a giant metal hand appeared, transformed into a robot, and introduced itself as Megatron. When one of the scientists at the symposium refused to go with Megatron, the giant robot unleashed a sonic wave which rendered the crowd, including Dutton and her news crew, unconscious. Battle Protocol!
Later news stories reported on by Dutton included:

- The making of a Hollywood film involving a statue turning into a dragon. Some people missed the end of this report and assumed that the statue was really a Transformer. The Ultimate Robot Warrior
