When Iacon was destroyed by Trannis's forces, Cybertron: The Middle Years! the Imperial Amphitheatre was one of the few landmarks spared. It was damaged, but it seems the remaining Autobots invested some of their time in keeping the building in acceptable condition.
The Imperial Amphitheatre was the site chosen by Emirate Xaaron and the Wreckers for Operation: Volcano. The Autobots were to get information to the Decepticons that Xaaron would be meeting with the other Autobot leaders on Cybertron inside the Imperial Amphitheatre on the anniversary of Iacon's fall, baiting them into using the opportunity to destroy the Autobot resistance once and for all. For this, it was estimated the deadliest Decepticons would come, who were the targets of a long-crafted plan to deal the Decepticons a large blow. In truth, while Xaaron would be at the Imperial Amphitheatre, the other leaders would be no more than facsimile constructs. When the Decepticons would open attack, the Wreckers would spring from their hiding in the amphitheatre and kill them in the following confusion.
All was set for the plan to work, but at the very last moment Megatron ordered the soldiers back to Polyhex for another mission. While astonished and no little disappointed by this turn of events, the Autobots told one another they'd get another chance some time. This was when Macabre, an overeager mission-stowaway Decepticon, made his presence in the amphitheatre known and tried to murder Xaaron still. Instead, he killed Impactor and was paid back in full by the other Wreckers. Target: 2006
