The Prowl clone is a Decepticon drone from the St. Michael Story Books portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Prowl clone is a duplicate of the real Prowl, undistinguisheable to the casual observer. Unlike the real Prowl, he is made out of a special ore only found on Carob Island. Oh, and he's also unconditionally loyal to Megatron thanks to the latter's reprogramming. Or he would have been if he had ever gotten around to do anything. He was built thanks to the mechanical expertise of Madame Cee.

St Michael Story Books

The Prowl clone was created during Megatron's ongoing campaign to frame the Autobots and tarnish their reputation. When Prowl discovered Megatron's operation on Carob Island, Megatron showed him his duplicate, lying in wait to be activated and wreak havoc. Prowl managed to trick Megatron into destroying the Prowl clone instead of him, shortly before foiling Megatron's plot overall. Deadly Paradise
