Wings Universe is based on the Generation 1 cartoon, but deviates from it in cosmetic ways and continuity points.
According to Side Burn's tale of woe, getting shot and dying has a vague hint of cyber-grapefruit to it. As Side Burn's story was entirely stolen from someone else, it was probably just an embellishment. Battle Lines, Part 1
