Torkulon is a semi-sentient planet which is used as an enormous psychiatric ward, and is comprised a a web-like substance which its inhabitants can control freely. Cyclonus was tricked by a Quintesson into commiting the terminally insane Galvatron to Torkulon's care.
Due to Galvatron's unprecedented level of dementia, the therapists of Torkulon were unable to heal him and were forced to let Torkulon absorb Galvatron's mind (effectively lobotomizing him). However, merely touching Galvatron's mind drove the planet itself stark-raving crazy.
With the planet rapidly losing its own sanity (and the therapists losing their ability to control the planet), Galvatron broke free and traveled to Torkulon's core, which he promptly destroyed. This effectively killed the planet and released all of its patients.
