This article is about the doomed Decepticon soldier. For the Autobot ambassador, see Crosscut (Autobot).
Crosscut is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Need someone to die? I'm your man. For the dying, that is.

Basically, Crosscut should just call in sick whenever anyone asks him to do anything.

AAAAAAAAAAAAH boom

A Decepticon warrior stationed in Darkmount, Crosscut died when he was commanded by Decepticon Warlord Straxus to cross the new Space Bridge... and promptly exploded due to a faulty fuel line making the Bridge unstable. His remains were then ordered to be swept up by another luckless soldier, who also went ker-flooey. Shrapnel was spared having to go get both of them when he reported on the faulty line and Straxus stopped sending Decepticons to their trans-dimensional death.

Blaster later would use this information to defeat Straxus. The Bridge to Nowhere!

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Oh, so that's what he transforms into. Huh.

Crosscut was part of Squadron X, a team of Decepticons which served as a brutal counterpart to the Autobots' Wreckers: his reputation was helped by the fact everyone mistook him for a member of the Decepticon Justice Division. He became friends with Triton after Springer welded them together in battle. Crosscut's Squadron X profile The Wreckers and Squadron X's rivalry came to a head on Pova, but after being dispatched in an aerial battle, he and the rest of Squadron X were rounded up in a containment unit and put in inhibitor harnesses. Last Stand of the Wreckers #4

However, Pova had been neutral ground, meaning the Wreckers had no right to take prisoners there. When Impactor, the increasingly deranged leader of the Wreckers, was ordered to release his hated enemies, he snapped and murdered the entire squadron in cold blood while they were still in chains. Last Stand of the Wreckers #5 This was covered up, and according to official records and Fisitron's Wreckers: Declassified datalogs, Crosscut and the other members of Squadron X were able to somehow escape their harnesses, forcing the Wreckers to execute rather than imprison them. Last Stand of the Wreckers #4

Wings Universe

Wings Universe is based on the Generation 1 cartoon, but deviates from it in cosmetic ways and continuity points.

As part of Squadron X, Crosscut invaded Torax Prime. When the expected Wrecker reaction never came, Triton and Crosscut tired of waiting. Macabre took care of them, privately. Tornado's Personal Journal
