  • On October 24, 2014, the date and location of BotCon 2015 were announced.
  • On December 31, 2014, the theme for the box set ("Cybertron's Most Wanted") was revealed on the BotCon website.
  • On January 1, 2015, a preview of the comic strip drawn by Matt Frank was previewed on the website.
  • On March 26, 2015, BotCon announced that Frank Welker would be attending this year's convention.
  • On March 31, 2015, BotCon.com was updated with placeholder images, and later a YouTube video unveiled the first exclusive, Packrat.
  • On April 3, 2015, Pete Sinclair was interviewed by Transformers for Your Listening Pleasure and revealed one of the souvenir sets would come with a blue redeco of Legends Class Chop Shop and that Sue Blu would be a guest.
  • On April 7, 2015, the second box set exclusive was unveiled: Battletrap.
  • On April 16, 2015, the third box set exclusive was unveiled: Stepper.
  • On April 21, 2015, the fourth box set exclusive was unveiled: Megatron.
  • On April 23, 2015, BotCon announced that John Moschitta would be attending this year's convention.
  • On April 27, 2015, the fifth box set exclusive was unveiled: Oilmaster.
  • On April 28, 2015, the brochure went online.
  • On May 22, 2015, Botcon announced that Kōjin Ōno would be attending this year's convention.
  • On May 27, 2015, after several delays caused by technical problems registration finally went up for all attending guests and exhibitors.
  • On May 28, 2015, registration went live for all non-attending guests.
