The Transformers: Generation One Commemorative Series

The Transformers Generation 1 Commemorative Series was a line of Toys "R" Us-exclusive reissues of early Transformers toys. Series I and II were released in traditional window box packaging. Series III and beyond were in "book box" packaging which mirrored the style of Takara's contemporary Transformers Collection reissue series. The Commemorative Series line lasted from 2002 to 2004, with a final release of Astrotrain as a hasbrotoyshop.com exclusive in 2005.

Trivia

• Although Side Swipe was intended to be released with Skids, he didn't appear in the US until a year later at Kay-Bee Toys at half price. He was released with Skids in Canada and Australia.
