Super-God Masterforce cartoon

When the Autobots manage to capture Cancer, he related to them the story of Godmaster as it had been told to him by Giga and Mega. Godmasters, Giga claims, are godly beings from the depths of space, who serve as messengers for the Decepticons. The Godmasters currently on Earth came to the planet in the ancient past, although originally, they were not multiple beings, but one giant entity which split seven "offspring" off from itself when it entered Earth's atmosphere. The seven offspring fell on land, while the main body was buried deep in an ocean trench until the present day, when they awoke, took the form of transtectors, and awaited human life with which to bond. Giga and Mega, it is revealed, are bonded to the main body. A Strange Friendship: Cancer and Minerva

Ask Vector Prime

When asked if Devil Z was lying about the origin of Godmaster, Vector Prime related the origin of Godmaster and Godmessenger, noting that it was true, and yet so were other conflicting origins, as such was "the fluid nature of the intersection of myth and reality, especially in unstable realities." Ask Vector Prime

Notes

  • The two conflicting origins of the Godmasters came from two Japanese timelines, published within a year of each other. Each drew from the original source material in slightly different ways. Ask Vector Prime attempts to have its cake and eat it two by acknowledging both origins and giving priority to neither.
