- Nightracer is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.
We don't know much about Nightracer except that she existed long ago, faded into myth, and was later cloned.

Nightracer was a legendary sharpshooter. She could hit a speeding target the size of a rustbug from a distance of over 15 hics, and that includes while she was dodging. Renegade Rhetoric
One of Megatron's Renegade Decepticons, Nightracer followed her leader out of their home reality to a new reality. There, Nightracer and Crash Test raided a Sumdac Systems to acquire a pallet of Destronium. Renegade Rhetoric (2), 2016/05/05 With their ill-gotten supplies, the Decepticosn upgraded themselves into the second generation of Go-Bots, improving upon the technology of the GoBots of Strata 22, sending the Autobots on the defensive. - Nightracer (2015)
- Timelines Nightracer is a redeco of the Generations Tailgate mold, using the blues requested (but not used) for her original BotCon toy. She shipped as the "freebie" figure in Version 3.0 of the Transformers Figure Subscription Service, in the same box as Krok, the 6th and final paid figure in the service. She came packed with a similarly recolored version of Groundbuster, named Shakar, an anagram of Nightracer's creator, Raksha, who also contributed the text for Nightracer's packed-in bio card.
- This toy doubles as Nightracer's clone. This mold was retooled into Windcharger. It also served as the basis of the non-toy Shattered Glass incarnation of Tailgate.
Notes
- A screencap of Nightbird from the cartoon was used to represent the original Nightracer since her head was a close fit and the art style matched the images of Soundwave and Frenzy next to her. According to Pete Sinclair and Jesse Wittenrich, the image wasn't supposed to be recognizable as Nightbird once it was obscured by Sky-Byte, but either Sky-Byte didn't cover her up in a way that would obscure her enough, or maybe we're just that good. She's not intended to be the same character as Nightbird.
- While what the original Nightracer's body looked like is a mystery, it's probable that she didn't look like the BotCon Go-Bots toy, considering none of the other Go-Bot clones look like their original bodies, either.
- The profile card for the TFSS toy of Nightracer's clone seems to describe this Nightracer instead.
