Crazybolt appears to share some of the coloration used by his RID 2015 counterpart.
A similar fate befell a different Trypticon.
this is not the first time the Destructon plans were messed with by the Logicons.

Fittingly for a story set in the late 24th century, the human uniforms in this story bear a resemblance to the Starfleet uniforms of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Trypticon's "death" draws inspiration from HAL 9000's defeat in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Cementing the homage, Trypticon pleads that he can "feel [his] mind going", before finally admitting that he is afraid -- dialogue lifted almost verbatim from the film.
