Landmine was among the Autobots who volunteered to become Pretenders during Brainstorm's experiment of the technology.

• Landmine (Pretender, 1988)

Landmine's outer Pretender shell resembles a human in a yellow and grey armoured space suit, armed with a gold sword and a grey blaster rifle. This shell has very limited articulated, located in his shoulders. Landmine's inner robot has good articulation for the period he was released in, owing to his relatively simple transformation and design. The robot transforms into a predominantly grey Cybertronic mining vehicle. The grey rifle can be stored on top in this mode.
