Leftfield
Leftfield is an electronic music group from the United Kingdom, composed primarily of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley. Formed in London, England ,in 1989, they were brought to the attention of Transformers fans ten years later, when their track "Phat Planet", from the album Rhythm and Stealth, was used as the theme song for the Beast Machines cartoon.
Leftfield has a catalog of music that includes three studio albums and several singles, many of which reached the Top 40 on the UK Singles Chart.[1] Additionally, they have been included on several compilation albums, as well as contributing tracks to motion picture soundtracks, including those for Hackers, Trainspotting, Vanilla Sky, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.[2]
Although Leftfield ostensibly broke up in 2002 to pursue solo projects, it was revived in January 2010, though minus Paul Daley who declined to take part.[3] Alternative Light Source - the first Leftfield album not to feature Daley - was released in 2015.
