Go Stingracer, Go Stingracer,
Go Stingracer go!!!

Free riding Decepticon Stingracer hangs around with the equally goonish Runner and Motorhead from the Race Track Patrol.

Fiction

Earthrise toy bios

Stingracer was one of the Decepticons sent to track down the Autobot Micromasters Fireguard, Roadburner, and Windstorm on their mission to Micron. Stingracer and their colleagues Runner and Motorhead intended to harness the power of plasma energy on the planet, presumably for their own narcissistic purposes. The Decepticon trio searched for the Autobots across the entire planet, but the Autobots managed to evade them by blending into the vast crowds of Micromasters.

Stingracer managed to get to Micron's heavily guarded plasma energy generators, but upon absorbing the power source, Stingracer and their buddies were vaporized by the unstable energy.

Generations

  • Micron Micromasters (Galactic Odyssey Collection, 2021)
Part of the Encounter 2 set of the Earthrise Galactic Odyssey Collection, representing Micron, Stingracer is a Decepticon-aligned redeco of Hot Rod Patrol member Trip-Up, and transforms from a robot into a muscle car with an engine blower. They can combine with Windstorm to form a wieldable weapon, but as the duo are from opposing factions this isn't really feasible, at least canonically.
Notably, the product description for Stingracer explicitly states that their vehicle mode is an homage to Kenner's M.A.S.K. vehicles - specifically, the orange hot rod Stinger.
Stingracer is part of a six-pack exclusive to Amazon, bundled with Autobots Fireguard, Roadburner, and Windstorm, and fellow Decepticons Runner and Motorhead. Despite being labeled as "Encounter 2" in the Galactic Odyssey Collection, this was the third set to be officially revealed. The reasons for this delay are unknown.
