- The new character designs for Optimus Prime and Hot Rod seen on both covers for this issue are completely different from the actual bodies they have in the comic itself. In particular, the design for Prime seen on the cover is based on his original Generation 1 body, while the in-story design owes a lot more to his Classics form.
- Breakdown's design uses the Universe Sunstreaker/Sideswipe mold, but movie-fied. He also has his name on his license plate.
- The fight scene on pages 2 and 3 seems to be a non-literal image of the conflict on Earth, since it features combatants that could never have met during All Hail Megatron (such as Scorponok, the Dinobots, Runabout and Runamuck, etc.)
