Federation of Western Europe

The Federation of Western Europe is a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/supranationalism" class="extiw" title="wikipedia:supranationalism">supernational</a> federation in Generation 1

Only slightly dippier than the European Union flag.

Western Europe is unified (or at least semi-unified) under the banner of the Federaton of Western Europe by the year 2000.

The FWE's formation was presumably at least in part a response to the continued existence of the Soviet Union, which did not fall in the period leading up to The Transformers: The Movie as it did in the real world.
