With several of his Autobots, he formed the Dimensional Patrol. Unfortunately, Optimus and several members of the Dimensional Patrol were abducted by Unicron to fight in the Cauldron. Thanks to the efforts of Optimus Primal, Silverbolt, and Trailbreaker, Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus escaped from imprisonment, forming Omega Prime to take out the Cauldron drones in the way. Along with the other abductees, they were sent back to their home reality, Escape although Omega Prime was soon called into service again by the Alpha Trion of Primal's reality. Homecoming

At the conclusion of the Universe War, Omega Prime fled the collapsing Cauldron through a dimensional portal, expecting to find himself with his comrades on Primal's technorganic Cybertron, but he was diverted to Aurex 405.0 Epsilon to assist Primus's defenders in the Unicron Singularity crisis.
