The Targetmaster Extirpation is an atrocity from the Beast Wars: Uprising of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Following the end of the Great War, the Targetmasters were seemingly granted amnesty and exile... only to be wiped out in a systematic Targetmaster Extirpation.

Fiction

Beast wars: Uprising

During the war, Targetmasters functioned by drawing power from the Sparks of their users, allowing them to unleash devastating amounts of firepower. As the energy-starved inhabitants of Cybertron attempted to adjust to a post-war society Targetmaster technology was unanimously deemed too powerful for either side to make use of.

Hoping to eliminate the problem at its source, the Targetmasters - both Nebulan and Cyberdroid - were granted amnesty in exchange for exile from Cybertron. This seemingly altruistic act was a ruse, and any Targetmaster that accepted was summarily sent away to be quietly killed. Those who saw through the act went underground, adopting new bodies to hide their true natures. Trigger Warnings
