The Targetmaster Extirpation is an atrocity from the Beast Wars: Uprising of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Following the end of the Great War, the Targetmasters were seemingly granted amnesty and exile... only to be wiped out in a systematic Targetmaster Extirpation.

During the war, Targetmasters functioned by drawing power from the Sparks of their users, allowing them to unleash devastating amounts of firepower. As the energy-starved inhabitants of Cybertron attempted to adjust to a post-war society Targetmaster technology was unanimously deemed too powerful for either side to make use of.

Hoping to eliminate the problem at its source, the Targetmasters - both Nebulan and Cyberdroid - were granted amnesty in exchange for exile from Cybertron. This seemingly altruistic act was a ruse, and any Targetmaster that accepted was summarily sent away to be quietly killed.
