Renegade Rhetoric
The Master Renegade was the ancient leader of the Renegades. According to Cy-Kill, he attempted to overthrow the oppressive Guardian regime. His crusade would have succeeded but for the treachery of the Last Engineer, who arranged for an asteroid to hit their planet and then transferred the minds of the Guardians into robotic bodies called GoBots. The Master Renegade designed several Monster GoBots to fight for his cause. When the Last Engineer went into hiding rather than face war crimes, and the Master Renegade relocated in secret to Antares III to await his return.
Much later, he was but a shell of his former self. Two of his Monster Gobots, Vamp and Scorp were swayed to Cy-Kill's side by Pincher. Two more, Creepy and Bladez, remained loyal to him. Renegade Rhetoric (1)
He menaced Guardian and Renegade alike, notably introducing the concept of combiner technology to the Renegades, Renegade Rhetoric (1) joining forces with the traitor Zero, tricking the Guardians and Renegades into smashing their entire space fleets into each other, and using a ray to turn GoBots into humans on the colony of New Earth. Ask Vector Prime
In an unstable Iocus reality engineered by the machinations of Sideways and Gong, the Master Renegade replaced the Quintesson judges during the events of the Unicron War. In this version of history, the Master Renegade officiated at twisted trials held in a fortress on Antares III, sentencing Cut-Up to death in the Dactyl pit. He then sentenced Kup and Hot Rod to death as well before the Dinobots and RoGuns arrived and rescued their friends. Echoes and Fragments
