The name or term "War for Cybertron" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see War for Cybertron (disambiguation).

The "War for Cybertron Trilogy" is Hasbro's designation for a segment of the Transformers: Generations line to be launched in 2019. Like the preceding Prime Wars Trilogy, "War" will be primarily based around the toy lines that make up the trilogy, and will be accompanied by a cartoon series of the same name and possibly tie-ins in IDW's comic books.

Cartoon

A War for Cybertron Trilogy animated series is currently in development. The series will be produced by Rooster Teeth and animated by Polygon Pictures, and will focus on the origins of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. F.J. DeSanto will act as the series showrunner, with George Krstic, Gavin Hignight and Brandon M. Easton as writers. The show is scheduled for a 2020 release on Netflix.
