Quotes

"Also you're required to have a partner for this, so may I suggest-"
"Mister Pettypaws. Of course. He's the natural good cop, I'll have to be bad cop! OK punk, start talking before we throw the book at ya."
"I was going to suggest you partner with one of your fellow recruits."
"I get it." [whispering] "Cat's got his own mission."

Chase and Whirl

Notes

Continuity notes

  • The Lady of Griffin Rock was established to be a long-running Griffin Rock legend back in the Rescue Bots episode "The Haunting of Griffin Rock".
  • Both Medix and Whirl both display Energize tools in this episode: Whirl's is a scanner that includes Infrared and Ultraviolet settings, while Medix's appears to be some sort of magnet.

Transformers references

  • Whirl and Medix both wear hard hats when they enter the abandoned mansion.

Real-world references

  • The title is derived from the term "Wild Goose Chase", when someone is sent on a fool's errand as a distraction.
  • Whirl references the Good cop/bad cop interrogation technique and is clearly familiar with the story of the Trojan Horse.
  • Hoist is working on a Rube Goldberg device.
  • Medix plays the first five notes of Für Elise on the mansion piano.

Animation and technical errors

  • TBA

Trivia

  • Cybertronian text displayed when we see Whirl's point of view: "DETECTING ACTIVITY", "MISSION", and later "INFRARED", "SEARCHING DANGER".

Foreign localization

  • TBA
