Need a space bridge? Wedge can build it. Need to kick some Predacon keister? Wedge and his Build Team will be all over it.

Underground, Wedge is very much in his element (as much as he'd begrudge it). He's good at his job as tunnel maker and everyone knows it. What he really wants to prove though is his ability to fight.

Japanese Name: Build Boy

Tech Spec: The other construction Autobots look to Wedge as their leader, even though he's still young. He's a natural leader-in-the-making with his take-charge attitude and revved-up energy. He can be reckless and make mistakes, but will never jeapordize his friends, and is always there to help them. He bulldozes into battle with double beam guns. His vehicle mode is an orange bulldozer that becomes the torso for the Build Team's combined form, Landfill. Wedge is a total hot head, who generally runs into battle without a plan, something we all know can be attributed to Hot Shot

In the Cartoon

Wedge and the Build Team appear for the first time in RiD episode 'Wedge's Short Fuse' and his intro goes as follows by his team:

Heavy Load: [The Build Team is] led by the incomparable boy genius: Wedge!
Hightower: Nobody constructs a tunnel like this guy!
Grimlock: Will you two knock it off? You're embarrassing the kid!
Autobot Brothers: ...huh?

He's constantly being built up and advised by his team-mates, but the kid's got his own spunk and charisma as well. There's probably a reason that he's at such a high ranking at what seems to be a young age.
